aFe Aluminized Exhaust Systems features smooth mandrel bends that
reduce turbulence. Exhaust turbulence is responsible for some of the
greatest power losses in a factory system, and the aFe exhaust system
works hard to overcome it to bring out the best performance from every GM
Duramax.
Choose from aluminized steel in turbo back, cat back or tom kit. AFE diesel exhausts are a natural extension of
AFE's efforts
to enhance the science of airflow management in performance vehicles. This is especially true in the diesel motor,
which is simply a huge air pump. Since diesel engines are a compression ignition engine and modern diesel-powered
vehicles are turbocharged, the more air you pump in, the more power you generate. However, which turbocharged
diesel, it is very important to get the hot truck exhaust out or the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) rise to critical
level that could damage
the turbo itself.

The Large Bore HD Performance DPF-Back exhaust features 4" 409 stainless steel tubing with smooth curves and
increased size to help remove restriction and keeps exhaust gasses flowing smoothly. The OE style band-clamps and
bayonnet style hangers make sure this system installs cleanly and easily. You will see increased performance and
lower EGT's from this system. This system does not come with a tip.
