Fabtech's foundings began in 1989 as a retail fab shop focusing on designing and constructing one-off off-road suspension systems for 2 Wheel Drive light trucks. With the California desert in the backyard, Fabtech tests, modifies and races the suspension lift parts they built, giving them an edge in product concept and development.
As Fabtech's reputation for building high quality performance suspension products grew so did the demand for production. Fabtech reinvested profits back into the company to purchase precision production machinery to meet the needs of the growing company. In 1999 Fabtech formally migrated from a retail fabrication shop to a wholesale suspension manufacturer with all metal fabrication processes being performed in house and distributed throughout the US via a net work of warehouse distributors. By the following year Fabtech had established themselves as the undisputed leader in the 2 Wheel Drive suspension marketplace and began developing a full line of 4 Wheel Drive Suspension systems.
